Navigation: 3 mega menus (Events, Eat & Drink, Explore) with 2/3 link pane + 1/3 editorial spotlight panel. 2 simple dropdowns (Parking & Safety, About) with icon + label + description per row. Donate CTA styled as distinct button. Per SNA_Navigation_Strategy_OSA: mega menus trigger on hover (200ms open / 300ms close delay in production); editorial panels are CMS-managed single post references with fallback defaults; Explore groups subpages by section (Art & Culture, Shopping, Experiences, Stay); Shopping nav shows only Fashion, Gifts, and All Shopping (analytics-informed — other categories accessible via landing page); Events editorial panel uses NAVY background; Eat & Drink and Explore editorial panels use white background. Mobile: all menus convert to accordion drawers, editorial panels omitted.
Full-bleed Gallery Hop night on High Street — galleries lit, crowd visible, public art in frame
Creation Is Calling
Ten galleries. Miles of murals. Live music seven nights a week. A gallery hop that's been running since 1984. The Short North's arts scene isn't a backdrop — it's the reason the district exists. Here's where to find it.
§1 — Page Hero. Full-width, editorial weight — this is the most important identity page in the Explore section. Headline recommendation: "Creation Is Calling" if the Tenfold brand platform is active; "Art Lives Here" as a clean alternative. No CTA button in the hero — the subpage cards below do the routing. If a video asset exists (Gallery Hop footage, mural installation timelapse), this is the right place for a looping background video.

Where Do You Want to Start?
Four ways into the Short North's creative ecosystem. Each section tells a different part of the story.
[ Gallery interior with people — opening night or Gallery Hop. Evening atmosphere. Not an empty room. ]
Galleries & Exhibitions
Ten galleries. Monthly openings. The oldest gallery hop in the country. First Saturday of every month, something is on view.

Music & Performing Arts
Jazz on Tuesday. A band you haven't heard of on Friday. Drag on Saturday. The Short North runs performances seven nights a week.

[ A major mural or public sculpture with High Street scale — human presence shows scale and engagement. ]
Places & Public Art
Murals on every block. Sculpture in the parks. Public art that stopped being background and started being the reason people come.

Artists & Creatives
The galleries, the murals, the music — someone made all of it. Meet the people who give the Short North its creative identity.

§2 — Subpage Navigation Cards. Four editorial cards in a 2×2 grid (single column on mobile). Each card: editorial photograph, H3 label, 2–3 line tease, CTA link. Cards should feel visually distinct — each is a door into a different world, not four versions of the same template. Card order reflects priority: Galleries & Exhibitions and Music are highest-intent destinations. Card order adjustable based on post-launch analytics.
[ Full-width Gallery Hop photograph — crowd energy, evening atmosphere, High Street or gallery interior with people. Dark, warm tones. ]
Gallery Hop
First Saturday of Every Month
Every first Saturday, the district shows up. Galleries open late. Musicians play on the sidewalks. Artists are present. Public spaces fill up. Gallery Hop has been running since 1984 — it is the clearest answer to the question of what it means to have an arts district.
Next Gallery Hop: Saturday, April 4, 2026
See This Month's Galleries →
§3 — Gallery Hop Feature. A persistent, always-present editorial block — NOT a fifth navigation card. Full-width band with background image and text overlay. Dark, evening atmosphere signals Gallery Hop as a night-out occasion. "First Saturday of every month" must appear typographically prominent. The "Next Gallery Hop: [Date]" line updates monthly. Treatment here should be lighter than the Galleries subpage Spotlight — this is a feature block, not a full editorial section. Gallery Hop appears in different roles across multiple pages; this version emphasizes Gallery Hop as a whole-district event touching all four subpages. Update cadence: monthly — the date line must be updated in the first week of each month. Owned by SNA Communications / Marketing Team.
While You're Here
Complete the Evening
The arts visit is part of a bigger night. Here's what's around it.
[ Crowd or festival atmosphere — reads as 'there's a lot going on.' Evening energy. ]
Events
Gallery Hop is the first Saturday. But there's something on every week.

§4 — Cross-Sell Block. "While You're Here" framing — connects the Art & Culture visit to the full Short North evening. Events for what's on, Eat & Drink for before and after. Third tile (Explore) is optional — include if analytics show users arriving at Art & Culture without having seen the broader Explore section. Keep photography tonally consistent with the page — evening atmosphere, people present. These tiles should feel like an extension of the visit, not a pivot to a different section. Decide 2 vs 3 tiles at design stage based on visual balance with Gallery Hop feature above.
