Navigation: 3 mega menus (Events, Eat & Drink, Explore) with 2/3 link pane + 1/3 editorial spotlight panel. 2 simple dropdowns (Parking & Safety, About) with icon + label + description per row. Donate CTA styled as distinct button. Per SNA_Navigation_Strategy_OSA: mega menus trigger on hover (200ms open / 300ms close delay in production); editorial panels are CMS-managed single post references with fallback defaults; Explore groups subpages by section (Art & Culture, Shopping, Experiences, Stay); Shopping nav shows only Fashion, Gifts, and All Shopping (analytics-informed — other categories accessible via landing page); Events editorial panel uses NAVY background; Eat & Drink and Explore editorial panels use white background. Mobile: all menus convert to accordion drawers, editorial panels omitted.

Followed by a 3-up stat row (40+ routes, Every Block bike racks, 0.6 miles). Mode grid acts as a visual table of contents. Tone: confident, practical. "One of the most transit-accessible destinations in Columbus" — verify this claim is defensible. ★ Confirm "40+ routes" with COTA. Confirm "0.6 miles" measurement (Buttles Ave to Goodale). "Sanitized daily by Ambassadors" — confirm bike rack cleaning is still in Ambassador scope.

AirConnect mention for airport-to-downtown visitors. Outbound link to cota.com for trip planning. Governance: COTA data sync — fares change periodically. ★ Verify all fares with COTA before launch. Confirm C-Pass program is still active and SNA members are eligible. AirConnect: confirm route still runs and stops reasonably close to Short North.

Rideshare

Uber · Lyft · Designated pickup/dropoff zones

Uber and Lyft operate throughout the Short North with full coverage. High Street and surrounding blocks are popular pickup and dropoff points. During peak evening hours, designated zones help keep traffic flowing and pickups predictable.

Late-Night Pickup Zones

Thursday – Saturday · Midnight – 4:00 AM

On busy nights, SNA activates designated rideshare pickup zones along High Street to reduce congestion and help you find your ride faster. Look for the illuminated "Rideshare" signs. Ambassador teams are on-site to assist.

ZipCar is also available in the Columbus area for those who prefer car-sharing for longer trips. Check the ZipCar app for nearby vehicle locations.

§3 — Rideshare + Late-Night Zones. Standard Uber/Lyft coverage info + featured Late-Night Zones callout (dark card, teal hours). Late-night zones are a key differentiator — SNA actively manages rideshare logistics Thu–Sat midnight–4 AM. Ambassadors assist on-site. ZipCar mentioned as a secondary option. Governance: SNA Operations — late-night zone schedule may vary seasonally. ★ Verify late-night zone hours and locations. Confirm Ambassador presence at rideshare zones. ZipCar: confirm at least one vehicle is reliably located near the district.

E-Scooter Rules for High Street

E-scooters may not be ridden on sidewalks. Within the High Street corridor (5th Avenue to Goodale Boulevard), riders must use the street or designated bike lanes. Please park scooters upright at bike racks — not blocking sidewalks or doorways.

Riding on sidewalks within the corridor is prohibited by City ordinance
§5 — Micromobility. Two provider cards (Veo, Spin) + e-scooter rules callout. Rules box is important — sidewalk riding is prohibited by City ordinance in the High Street corridor. The callout makes this clear without being punitive. Governance: City of Columbus / SNA sync — providers may change, rules may update. ★ Verify Veo and Spin are still the active providers. Confirm the "5th Avenue to Goodale Boulevard" corridor boundaries for the sidewalk prohibition. Check if any new micromobility providers have launched.

The Short North Is Built for Bikes

Lanes · Racks · Covered parking · Repair stations

The Short North is one of the most bicycle-friendly corridors in Columbus. Dedicated bike lanes and sharrows run through the district, and bike racks are installed on every block — sanitized daily by the SNA Ambassador team.

Infrastructure Details
Bike Lanes & Sharrows Marked lanes throughout the district corridor
Bike Racks Every block — sanitized daily by Ambassadors
Covered Bike Parking 2 locations with weather-protected storage
Repair Stations Self-service stations with tools and air pumps
§6 — Bicycles. "The Short North Is Built for Bikes." Warm, inviting section with 4-row infrastructure table. Ambassador rack cleaning is a notable detail that reinforces the care message. Governance: SNA Maintenance. ★ Verify 2 covered parking locations — confirm addresses. Confirm repair station locations and that tools are maintained. "Sanitized daily" — confirm this is still in Ambassador scope and frequency is accurate.

Walking

0.6 miles end-to-end · Flat · Well-lit

The Short North is a walker's district. From Buttles Avenue on the south to Goodale Boulevard on the north, the entire corridor is just 0.6 miles — an easy, flat walk along well-lit sidewalks. Most visitors naturally explore on foot once they arrive.

SNA Ambassadors are on the street every evening, providing wayfinding assistance, safety escorts, and a friendly face throughout the district.

§7 — Walking. Brief, warm section. 0.6 miles end-to-end. Emphasises flat terrain, well-lit sidewalks, Ambassador presence. No COVID-era links (per content brief directive). Governance: None required — static content. ★ Verify 0.6-mile measurement and Buttles-to-Goodale boundary description.

 Short North Employee?

SNA member businesses can offer employees discounted transit passes, parking validation, and other mobility benefits through the Short North Employee Mobility Menu.

View Employee Mobility Menu →
§8 — Employee Mobility Discounts. Callout block targeting Short North employees (not visitors). Links to the Employee Mobility Menu — a resource for SNA member businesses to provide transit and parking benefits. Visually distinct from visitor-facing content via the callout card treatment. Governance: SNA HR / Member Services. ★ Confirm Employee Mobility Menu exists and URL is live. Verify which benefits are currently included (C-Pass, validation, bike storage, etc.).
