Navigation: 3 mega menus (Events, Eat & Drink, Explore) with 2/3 link pane + 1/3 editorial spotlight panel. 2 simple dropdowns (Parking & Safety, About) with icon + label + description per row. Donate CTA styled as distinct button. Per SNA_Navigation_Strategy_OSA: mega menus trigger on hover (200ms open / 300ms close delay in production); editorial panels are CMS-managed single post references with fallback defaults; Explore groups subpages by section (Art & Culture, Shopping, Experiences, Stay); Shopping nav shows only Fashion, Gifts, and All Shopping (analytics-informed — other categories accessible via landing page); Events editorial panel uses NAVY background; Eat & Drink and Explore editorial panels use white background. Mobile: all menus convert to accordion drawers, editorial panels omitted.

Still Showing

Ten galleries. Monthly openings. One of the longest-running gallery hops in the country. The Short North's gallery culture isn't the biggest in Columbus — it's the most consistent. First Saturday of every month, something is on view. Come find it.

§1 — Page Hero. Full-width, editorial-weight hero. "Still Showing" is the recommended headline — short, confident, directly addresses the "what makes this an arts district" question without being defensive. Copy leans into the "consistent and ongoing" argument rather than scale — honest about the current inventory (ten galleries) while framing it as a feature. No hero CTA button — the Browse section and Spotlight below do the orienting work. If SNA does not have photography of people inside galleries, this is a high-priority content gap.

§2 — Browse & Filter: Gallery Directory. 3-up card grid, no pagination needed at ~10 galleries. Filter by Type (Commercial / Nonprofit / Artist-Run) and Medium (dropdown). "Open Today" badge if hours data supports it. Current exhibition title on cards is aspirational — requires galleries to keep CMS updated. Filter labels must be confirmed against District 360 tagging before building. If tagging is unavailable at launch, start sort-only (A–Z).

Gallery Hop

First Saturday of Every Month

Gallery Hop has been running in the Short North since 1984. First Saturday of every month, galleries stay open late, artists are present, and High Street fills up. It is the oldest monthly gallery walk in the United States. Come for the art. Stay for everything else.

This Month's Highlights

[Gallery Name] Spring Group Exhibition — emerging painters from central Ohio
[Gallery Name] [Exhibition Title] — photography and mixed media
[Gallery Name] [Exhibition Title] — new sculpture installation opening night

§3 — Editorial Spotlight: Gallery Hop. Gallery Hop is the permanent spotlight subject on this page — it does not rotate. What rotates is the editorial framing: month-specific, seasonal, featured gallery/artist of the month. Includes 2–4 gallery highlights with exhibition teasers. "First Saturday of every month" must appear typographically prominent. This is the page's strongest proof point for ongoing gallery culture. Visually dominant — dark/high-contrast background. Monthly update cadence (first week of each month). Owned by SNA Communications / Marketing Team. Confirm bandwidth before launch — this is the highest editorial maintenance commitment on the page.

§4 — Currently on View. Auto-populated from the events feed — exhibition-type events with active date ranges, plus upcoming within 30 days. Current exhibitions shown first, then upcoming (marked "Opening Soon"). Each entry: title, gallery (linked), artist, dates, one-sentence description, thumbnail. 3-up card grid preferred if images available; compact list if images inconsistent. Highest-maintenance and highest-impact section. No manual data entry — driven by events feed. Fallback state shown if feed returns no exhibitions. Integration dependency: confirm events feed taxonomy distinguishes exhibitions from other event types. Accessibility: all exhibition images require alt text at the event record level.

§5 — Cross-Sell Block. "Make a Night of It" — the gallery visit is the occasion, these tiles complete the evening. Three tiles: Artists & Creatives, Gallery Hop (Events), Eat & Drink. The Gallery Hop tile and the Spotlight above it are intentionally related — the Spotlight provides editorial depth, this tile provides a simple navigational prompt. Tile images should be warm and social in tone — evening-occasion cross-sells. Standard 3-tile layout on desktop, single column on mobile.
