All Parking Validation Garages EV Charging On-Street Zones Valet Kiosks

Interactive District Parking Map

Full-width, filterable Mapbox GL JS map — 13 marked locations from the SNA printed parking map. Pin popups include name, address, type, validation availability, EV charging, and one-tap directions.

Layers toggle via filter chips above. "Near Me" geolocation button in map controls. Mobile-first: swipe-up card drawer for pin details.

§1 — Interactive District Map. Full-width embedded map, Mapbox GL JS recommended. Six filterable layers: Parking Garages (default ON), Validation Garages (toggle), EV Charging (toggle), On-Street Zones (toggle), Valet (toggle), Parking Kiosks (default ON). All 13 locations from the SNA printed map should be plotted. Pin popups: name, address, type badge, validation Y/N, EV Y/N, and a one-tap directions link. "Near Me" geolocation button. Filter chip bar sits above the map. Mobile: swipe-up card drawer replaces popup. Include PDF download link (link to existing SNA parking PDF if available). Governance: SNA Maintenance — update pins whenever garage inventory changes. Dev note: consider a lightweight JSON file that feeds both map pins and the directory table below. ★ Confirm 13-location inventory with SNA before launch.

Download the ParkColumbus App Before You Arrive

Pay for garage and on-street parking, check real-time availability, and find the nearest open space — all from your phone. Available on iOS and Android.

§3 — ParkColumbus App Feature. A horizontal band treatment — not a full section. The single most useful tool for visitors managing parking. Positioned before the subpage cards: the planner (likely desktop, at home) sees this before navigating deeper. Include a rendered phone mockup or app store badge graphic if brand-approved assets are available from the City of Columbus or the ParkColumbus operator. Do not use the ParkColumbus logo unless SNA has confirmed permission.

§3 — Validation Program. "Park Free. Shop More." — three garage cards with addresses and badge sets. Callout block explains the program: 2 hours free with any participating business purchase, valid daily 7 AM – 7 PM. Cards link to directions. Governance: SNA Maintenance — update if garage list or hours change. ★ Verify "2 hours free" is still the current program. Confirm the list of "participating businesses" — does every SNA-member business validate, or only a subset? If subset, consider adding a link to the participating business list.

Meter Rates + Payment

On-street parking in the Short North is managed by the City of Columbus.

On-street meters along High Street and surrounding blocks use kiosks that accept coins, credit/debit cards, and contactless payment. Rates vary by zone and time of day. Sundays and City-recognized holidays are typically free.

For current rates, hours, and payment options, visit the City of Columbus parking page.

City of Columbus — Parking Rates + Info
§4 — Meter Rates Reference. Replaced the detailed rates table with a brief summary and a link to the City of Columbus parking page. Rates are set and updated by the City — maintaining a duplicate copy on shortnorth.org risks publishing stale or incorrect information. The external link ensures visitors always see current rates. ParkColumbus app callout retained as a practical tip.

§6 — Getting Here Cross-Link Band. Minimal, single-link strip pointing to the Getting Here subpage. Provides an exit ramp for visitors who arrived at the Parking Map page but actually need transit/bike/rideshare info. Teal-on-light background, matching the shared cross-link band style. Governance: Automatic — link is static.

PRE-FOOTER — Global component displayed on every page. Combines newsletter signup + social links into a persistent strip above the footer.
Footer consolidates full sitemap. Social links in pre-footer above. Links connect to wireframes where available; # = placeholder for pages not yet wireframed.
